Murcia weather is predominantly fine and favorable almost throughout the year, a fact that has greatly increased the city’s share of the world wide tourist market. Murcia weather in summer
Since the city is situated along the azure waters of the Mediterranean, it should come as no surprise to find out that Murcia weather during the summer is typically hot throughout the season, with very little or no rainfall. While on some days mercury reaches a balmy 20C, on the following day it might take a sudden drop to a significantly colder 6C. Although January is the coldest month of the year, average temperatures stand at an impressive 12C.
As mentioned earlier, even during winter Murcia doesn’t experience adequate amounts of rainfall. When Murcia experiences a 'Gota Fria' however things take a turn for the worst. Temperatures drop sharply and torrential rain falls constantly often resulting in floods, causing huge waves and tides.
Murcia weather in spring
Murcia weather retains to its fine disposition with the arrival of March. The first brave tourists can be seen taking dips in the warm waters of the Mediterranean, and although rain remains a high possibility for most of the days, the skies usually remain clear and sunny. During March, temperatures remain at an average of 14C, slowly ascending with the arrival of April. Finally reaching the peak around May whose monthly average stands at 20C.
