Murcia weather is predominantly fine and favorable almost throughout the year, a fact that has greatly increased the city’s share of the world wide tourist market. Blessed to close to 325 sun filled days per year or 2,800 hours of sunshine, and with an average annual temperature of 19.3C, along with an abundant supply of tourist attractions, Murcia weather is the city’s biggest drawing card.

Since the city is situated along the azure waters of the Mediterranean, it should come as no surprise to find out that Murcia weather during the summer is typically hot throughout the season, with very little or no rainfall. Mercury hovers between 25C and 35C during the day, never dropping bellow 15C when night sets in. However, becomes of the low humidity levels and the sea breezes that frequently bring relief to the city, even those not accustomed to weather in Murcia won’t feel the full force of the high temperatures.

With most of the tourists having already departed, September is a particularly great time to be in Murcia. While not as warm as either August or July, September weather in Murcia is characteristically fine with an average month temperature of 24C. Even during October, Murcia weather remains predominantly fine, with high temperatures and sun filled days. November is noticeable for its unpredictability: although mainly fine and warm for most of the month, the possibility of a sudden rainfall always hovers over the city,

Murcia weather in winter
In comparison to Northern European destinations, Murcia weather retains a rather mild disposition even after winter rolls. Most days the sun is still perched up in the sky, and rain is minimal. Temperatures during the winter season though, are anything but easy to predict. While on some days mercury reaches a balmy 20C, on the following day it might take a sudden drop to a significantly colder 6C.  Although January is the coldest month of the year, average temperatures stand at an impressive 12C.

As mentioned earlier, even during winter Murcia doesn’t experience adequate amounts of rainfall. When Murcia experiences a 'Gota Fria' however things take a turn for the worst. Temperatures drop sharply and torrential rain falls constantly often resulting in floods, causing huge waves and tides.

Murcia weather in spring
Murcia weather retains to its fine disposition with the arrival of March. The first brave tourists can be seen taking dips in the warm waters of the Mediterranean, and although rain remains a high possibility for most of the days, the skies usually remain clear and sunny.  During March, temperatures remain at an average of 14C, slowly ascending with the arrival of April. Finally reaching the peak around May whose monthly average stands at 20C.
